Tip: It is best to take a lukewarm shower. If you don't want to do without hot water, you can alternatively rinse your feet and calves with cold water at the end. This also refreshes, wakes you up and stimulates blood circulation.
Sin of standing up 3: Do not fill up the water reservoir
Most sleep-drunk people stagger to the coffee machine and have a cup of the hot caffeine drink. This may make the start of the day easier, but it does not make up for the nocturnal fluid deficit on its own.
Tip: Put a large glass of water on the bedside table before going to bed and drink it as soon as you wake up. This gets the metabolism and intestinal activity going, moisturizes the mucous membranes, prevents headaches and brings new energy. Then you can always shuffle to the coffee machine.
Standing up sin 4: Jump out of bed into your sports shoes
Studies have shown: lack of sleep, not warmed up muscles and a tired mind in the morning not only reduce the effectiveness of training, but also increase the risk of sports injuries, since the motor skills are still in sleep mode. Muscle soreness is also more likely.
Tip: If you like to be active in the morning, you don't have to do without it. However, he should give his body enough time to wake up. It is also important that you warm up the muscles that have become a little stiff overnight before you start.
Standing up sin 5: Shave quickly in the morning
Women and men like to use their morning bathroom routine to shave. But then the skin often reacts with redness and pimples. It doesn't look nice on the legs or face. It also becomes stressful if you cut yourself and the bleeding is not stopped straight away. Then you quickly run out of time.
Tip: Better to shave before bed. This allows the skin to calm down overnight and heal small cuts. By the way, shaving in the evening is also advisable for the armpits: The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) recommends not to use aluminum-containing antiperspirants immediately after shaving or on damaged armpit skin in order to reduce aluminum absorption.
The sin of getting up 6: Plan too little time to go to the toilet
It can also get stressful if you don't allow enough time for the toilet. Many of them run to the quiet place two minutes before they have to leave the house and get nervous if their bowel movements don't work right away. But pushing and squeezing puts unnecessary stress on the sensitive area and over time can increase the risk of hemorrhoids and inflammation.
Tip: Anyone who knows that their bowels need time in the morning to get going should take this into account. According to experts, it can take up to 15 minutes for bowel movement to begin. The ideal time is after breakfast or after a cup of coffee, as both activate bowel movements.
Sin 7: Close the roller shutter completely
The incidence of light in the bedroom also decides whether you can get out of bed well in the morning. Many people close the roller shutters completely before they go to sleep. But if the bedroom is completely in the dark, it is difficult for the body to wake up. The production of the waking hormone serotonin and the reduction of the sleep hormone melatonin are controlled by light.
Tip: Leave the roller shutter a little open in the evening. This supports serotonin production in the morning and it is easier to get up. If you also keep the windows tilted in the warm months, you can enjoy the chirping of birds in addition to the rays of the sun.
